Terms of Service
Last updated: May 14, 2026
Please read these terms carefully — they describe how BugBoard.io may be used, the commitments we make to you, and the limits of our liability.
01Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you ("you", "Customer") and Prodlabs ("we", "us", "BugBoard") governing your access to and use of the BugBoard.io website, applications, SDK, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, embedding the SDK, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and references to "you" include both you and that organization.
02The Service
BugBoard provides a hosted platform that lets product teams collect, organize, prioritize, and respond to feedback from their end users, including through embeddable widgets, roadmaps, voting, and changelog tools.
We may modify, add, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that adversely affect existing paid functionality.
03Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it current. We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or are used in violation of these Terms.
04Plans, billing, and trials
The Service is offered under free and paid plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) at the rates shown at checkout. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
We may change pricing at any time; changes apply to renewals occurring after a 30-day notice. Free plans may be subject to usage limits and may be discontinued with reasonable notice.
You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for the fees due. If a charge fails, we may suspend paid features until payment is received.
05Customer content
You retain all rights in the content you and your end users submit through the Service, including feedback items, comments, votes, and uploaded files ("Customer Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, display, and analyze Customer Content solely as needed to operate and improve the Service for you.
You are responsible for Customer Content and for ensuring that you have the rights and consents needed to submit it to the Service, including obtaining any required consent from your end users to process their personal data.
06Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to violate any applicable law or third-party right;
- upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service, except where this restriction is prohibited by law;
- submit content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, infringing, or that contains sensitive categories of personal data we have not agreed to process;
- use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications.
07Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by Prodlabs and its licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted by implication.
Feedback you provide to us about the Service may be used by us for any purpose without obligation to you.
08Third-party services
The Service may integrate with third-party services (e.g., authentication providers, payment processors, analytics, hosting). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, content, or practices.
09Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy at /privacy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. When you collect personal data from your end users through the Service, you act as the "controller" and we act as your "processor" within the meaning of applicable data-protection law.
10Suspension and termination
You may cancel your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your account immediately if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay fees, or if your use creates a security or legal risk.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. We will delete Customer Content within a reasonable period after termination, subject to legal retention obligations and backup cycles.
11Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data. Each party's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100 if you are on a free plan.
13Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Prodlabs and its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Customer Content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.
14Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Prodlabs is established, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.
15Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., by email or in-app banner) before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the change indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
